I was introduced to Sharkskin while training through one of Europe’s harshest winters contending with snow, blizzards and freezing temperatures training on the River Thames in London and competing throughout Europe. One of the challenges of SUP training is that you get really hot when you are out on the water training, but wearing a wetsuit and/or multiple layers of clothing is impractical, uncomfortable & causes excessive bulk and prohibits freedom of movement in the upper body. Good training kit that performs and is functional in cold weather is hard to find. Sharkskin Performance Wear tops go a long way to making it a lot easier to make it out the door and onto the water on those colder days. Sharkskin’s ChillproofLong Sleeve top is big step in the right direction of developing true cold weather training apparel and I’ve had it out in as low at minus 20 degrees Celsius on high alpine mountain lakes in Bavaria, Germany. The thermal torso combined with light and flexible compression fabric sleeves makes for a highly functional garment that enables you freedom of movement, insulation and reduction of windchillto your core. The cut of the sleeve enables maximum movement and flat seam stitching reduces friction & chaffing.
May be a little tight but apart from that was fantastic at keeping me warm but not too hot. Am saving up for a second one
The top was a very good fit. Love it.
Great top. When paddling my hands and sleeves get wet and I become cold. The tops sleeves dry quickly and the body fabric keeps me warm. All good.
Only yesterday 5.19.21 I tried it out for the first time yesterday. In salt water bay…water temperature was cold! My suit protected me from the bulk of it.. although my head froze!!
I bought a size 14 n was worried it was too small ( I’m a 16+) until it was wet n it was perfect size. I have rheumatoid which hates the cold n believe this suit will allow me a longer swimming season in open sea water.
Bought Sharkskin Peformance Wear Long Sleeve top primarily for recreational swimming in Sydney harbour beaches in the shoulder season. It does the job perfectly adding sufficient warmth in 17 deg water to be comfortable. The design allows good movement for swimming. Sizing is accurate and the top looks stylish with its snug fit and bright pink colour trim.

Love it! Kept me warm on a cold Perth morning out on the swan river
I wanted to start swimming in port Phillip bay and so needed something that would keep me warm yet let me swim. My sharkskin does exactly that. I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend it to anyone wanting help to stay warm with flexibility.
My Performance Wear long sleeve top was perfect for paddling on a cold day. I bought the XL which didn’t cling and had lots of room. (I usually buy Size 14/16 tops.) The top was very comfortable, warm and blocked the wind. Although the material used for the arms got wet while I was paddling, it wasn’t uncomfortable and dried quickly. Definitely a great purchase. Thank you Sharkskin. Diane. Perth, WA.
I love my sharkskins! They fit really well and provide welcome insulation from the cold sea water in winter, just what I needed. I also love the fact that they are easy to get on and off and dry quickly for use again the next day.
